Frequently asked questions
Do parents need to install anything?
Yes — parents use the same VidyaCheck app, with a simple parent view. The school creates their account and shares a login; there's no public sign-up. Parents see fees, attendance, homework, results, circulars and live bus tracking for their own child.
Will it work on cheap Android phones?
That's exactly what it's built for. VidyaCheck is tested on budget Android phones with as little as 2 GB of RAM, and works in both Hindi and English.
Is our school's data safe?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit, each school's data is kept separate, and access is limited by role. Read the full Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how it's protected.
Can we move our existing student data in?
Yes. You can bulk-import students and staff from an Excel sheet, so migrating from registers or another system takes hours, not weeks.
How does fee collection work?
Your office records each payment (cash, cheque or UPI) in the app, which instantly generates a digital receipt for the parent and updates the dues and defaulter list. The app does not currently process online card payments and never stores any card or bank details.
When will it be on the Google Play Store?
