Request deletion of your VidyaCheck account and the personal data associated with it. You can do this here on the web — no need to re-install the app or sign in.

How to delete your data

This page lets anyone who uses the VidyaCheck app — administrators, teachers, parents/guardians, students and drivers — request deletion of their account and associated data. VidyaCheck is operated by Amigzo Technologies Private Limited. Accounts are created and managed by your school, so deletion is handled through your school administrator, and you can also request it directly from us using the options below.

  • Through your school (fastest): your school administrator can delete your account and its associated data directly from the admin app. Just ask your school office.
  • By email: write to support@vidyacheck.in with the subject “Account & data deletion request”. This reaches us directly and we will action it with your school.
  • On the web (this page): submit the request form below and we will process it.

Parents & guardians: because students are usually children, a parent or lawful guardian may request deletion on a child's behalf. Choose “Parent / Guardian” as your role below.

What gets deleted

When we action a deletion request, we delete the personal data associated with the account, which may include:

  • profile information (name, contact details, date of birth, guardian details, address);
  • profile and uploaded photos;
  • attendance, homework, timetable, exam marks and report-card data;
  • complaints and messages you submitted;
  • login credentials, push-notification tokens and account-linked device identifiers; and
  • any short-lived bus location data tied to the account (location is not kept as a long-term history).

What we may retain (and why)

We may keep a limited amount of data for a longer period where the law requires or for legitimate reasons such as security and fraud prevention:

  • Fee and payment records — retained for accounting, tax and statutory/regulatory compliance.
  • Records the School must keep — some academic records belong to your School as the Data Fiduciary; the School decides their retention. Where your School controls the data, we will pass your request to the School and assist.

Retained records are kept only as long as necessary and are then deleted or anonymised. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

How long it takes

We acknowledge requests promptly and complete verified deletion requests within a reasonably quick period — typically within 30 days — after we confirm your identity. We may need to verify that you own the account (or are the parent/guardian) before deleting, to protect against unauthorised deletion.
